Russian Power Generation and Heat Production Companies of Inter RAO Group Announce RAS Financial Results for the First Six Months of 2021

27 July 2021

*The financial results are given for the following power generation companies: JSC Inter RAO — Electric Power Plants, CJSC Nizhnevartovskaya SDPP, Bashkir Generation Company LLC, JSC TGC-11, and JSC Tomsk Generation.

The following key factors determined the operating and financial results of Russian power generation and heat production subsidiaries of Inter RAO Group:

  • An increase in electricity consumption in the Unified Energy System of Russia by 5.2% in comparison with H1 2020 (5.8% excluding the impact of an extra day in a leap year 2020) as a result of lower air temperatures in Q1 2021 in comparison with the corresponding period of 2020 and a 0.2% decrease in the volume of hydroelectric power generation;
  • Decommissioning of power unit No.3 with the total capacity of 330 MW from 1 January 2021 at the Kashirskaya SDPP;
  • Marketing of the capacity of leased facilities of LLC Kaliningrad Generation as a result of an increase in calendar operation time of Primorskaya TPP put into service in 2020;
  • Start of modernization (within competitive selection of projects for the modernization of thermal power plants (Russian: COMMod)) of two power units at Gusinoozyorskaya SDPP and a power unit at Kostromskaya SDPP (300 MW)
  • Increase of capacity sale prices for CDA facilities from 1 January 2021, due to specifying DAM share for unit 4 of Permskaya TPP and unit 12 of Verkhnetagilskaya TPP
  • Increase in fuel prices.
