Moscow. November 24, 2009. JSC INTER RAO UES won the annual report competition organized by RTS stock exchange – the company’s annual report was recognized the best in the power sector.
The annual report contains information about key areas of INTER RAO UES activity and corresponds to the best practices of corporate transparency and management. It is drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Financial Markets Service, recommendations of the auditor, rating agencies and stock exchanges.
Except for the organizers of the competition the judges of the contest included the representatives of the Federal Financial Markets Service and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, as well as leading experts from rating, consultancy and information agencies, self-regulating organizations and business councils and associations: Interfax, RTS Stock Exchange, NP National Managers’ League, CJSC SKRIN, SRO National Securities Market Association, Association of Independent Directors, NP Association of Investor Relations Professionals (AIRP), PARTAD, KPMG, NP Russian Institute of Directors, IR Magazine Russia & CIS, NAUFOR, Standard & Poor`s, JSC Federal Financial Corporation, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
It would be recalled that the 12th RTS Annual Report Competition began on 3 August 2009. For the first time foreign companies were invited to participate in the contest which made the competition even tougher. This year 125 companies representing various branches of industry participated in the competition. The aim of the competition is to encourage information transparency for investors and clients.
